Hello, when I was tweaking the oscillator-code I did some modulation-tests. I found that not only the controller-oscillators were updated with a much lower resolution (which, if it were not tooo low, would be fine...) but additionally they were updated irregularly, too.
<imagine sonogram of test here, it's hard to understand the mail without, but the mailing-list didn't like it with the sonogram-image attached...> Funny enough this irregularity is far bigger if the file is written to disk than if it is output to the soundcard. The "use-sample-exact-controllers"-switch doesn't make a difference at all, just btw... This however renders controller-usage useless for modulation-purposes... hmm,... any idea(s) of how (were?!?) to fix this at least for disk-output? Assumption: The controller-oscillator-output is completely decoupled from the master-sample-clock. Maybe it's in a different thread and the master thread doesn't wait for the LFO/Controler to update. This might cause such a weird result as can be seen above... all the best, Stefan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Special Offer-- Download ArcSight Logger for FREE (a $49 USD value)!
