Whether it is the culprit or not, no other DAW has this visibility issue on
that screen, so I felt it appropriate to mention, not unlike mastering a
song and then playing on a car stereo, fine tuning often requires utilizing
various qualities and common appliances.

Looks great. The 4 dark and 4 light bars I still believe are way too close
in color to eachother. Looking at them on a different display now and they
are virtually indistinguishable from eathother. Some DAWs tackle this by
drawing a thicker line every 4 bars.

It looks more like the Ardour interface that way. It also looks like
quite a few other big name projects as well.
I think a lot of Audio techs like to have the darker background, for the
same reason a lot of coders do... it is easier to stare at for hours on end.

So, here's continuing my song editor update. I think this is looking
quite nice and fits well with the overall style of the new LMMS.
The background is dark, yes, but in fact so is the background on the
piano roll, and the automation editor, and no one complains about those.

Do the internal 'windows' theme to an installed Qt/KDE theme, or are
they all internal?
I'd like to be able to customize this in the future.
The other thing about the windows, that I as a user want, is the ability
to move the buttons to the left.
I know not everyone likes it that way... but it mi
I didn't have any bad feelings with the old background, the B&B colour was
however sometimes a bit strange. The new proposed background is way too dark
after my opinion. It would of course work well in a dark theme :)

Looks too busy -- too much contrast especially between the background and
the lines which makes the clips not stand out enough.
Maybe consider a more subtle gradient and lighter greys? Or a similar
colour scheme as in the B&B editor?

You can't see it, because it has been removed. It has been buggy and hardly
useful with advanced features like controllers, automation etc. We also got
rid of it in order to decrease code complexity, I'm sorry. If you still

No we can't, not for a while. We disabled that feature for the time being.

Can we also see a frozen track. I noticed in the more recent color schemes
that they don't stand out as much as they use to.
