I agree, Also its a great way to show case the power of LMMS. Also this
means though from a developer stand point there is alot of work that we
need to do. From Paul's Unison core and adding new features and bug fixing.
LMMS has great potential to really provide a threat to the commercial DAW
mark

Actually no bad idea. We could do an annual competition ("best of the year"),
where, of course, only tracks since the last competition would be allowed.
One advantage of such competitions is that it might motivate musicians to
write new song
