From the Infra instructions it sounds like they really don’t want us doing this
anyway. I am getting the feeling they only want us to have a few personal pages.
I suppose we could also figure out how to deploy the site to Nexus.

Hi Chathura,
I suppose you could use the PatternLayout's regex and replacement's feature
(https://logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/manual/layouts.html#PatternLayout).
It does feel like a brute-force solution though.
Perhaps a more elegant solution would be to have a notation in the

I am working with a Scala wrapper for Log4j 2's Logger interface.
I have some problems with the lifecycle methods entry, exit, throwing and

I am actually wrapping the ExtendedLogger interface (which I believe is how
it should be done), and do the actual logging with its methods.
But ho

One more question, If I use the Commons Logging Bridge in OSGi environment
do i need to include following resource
org.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory to the META-INF/services directory of
the OSGi bundle?

1. That message comes from log4j 1.x so you still have its jar in the class
path.
2. The Commons Logging bridge is not meant for you to code against. You should
be coding t the commons logging API. The bridge then binds commons logging to
log4j 2.

I want to use log4j2 Commons Logging Bridge with commons 1.2. I tried to
use something like follows:
import org.apache.logging.log4j.jcl.LogFactoryImpl;
public class MyClass{
private static Log log = LogFactoryImpl.getLog(DropinsBundleDeployer.class);
