The way it's currently written is to only roll at the top of the time
period.  Eg, day, hour, minute, half day etc.  However, this would not
be hard to change as you have the source code (or can get it) and it's
very clear.  I believe that getNextCheckDate() in DailyRollingCalendar
is the method you're interested in altering.  

BTW - I'm not sure if 1.3 is set up to do this easier.
