i have in my tomcat web application log4j that is configured like this : 1. log4j:configuration xmlns:log4j=http://jakarta.apache.org/log4j/; debug=true 2. appender name=FILE class=org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender 3. param name=Threshold value=DEBUG/ 4.
