Discussion of sounds of lojban speech reminded me that speech synthesis is
built into Mac OS X (actually it has been there since about OS 7, a decade
ago at least) and that it is easily invoked from either Applescript of from
the OS X command line.

This has happened twice now: I post a request
here (.i.e. send an email to lojban-beginners@lojban.org)
but it just disapears and never shows up later.
Do you select and suppress messages manually?
