Check your /etc/xinetd/tftp file to see if "disable = no"
After that is fixed, restart xinetd and you should be good to go.
Hope that helps,

Michael,
Your tftp daemon cannot seem to find an image to load.
Check your /etc/dhcpd.config file for the 'filename' entry. Make sure that tftp can
read it and its in the
/tftpboot/lts (Check this if its '/lts' or '/ltsp', i'm not sure of this, it may be
the one causing it ;-) ) shared directo
Hello Kai and everyone,
Just was able to get my setup running thanks to the good guys back at the Etherboot

resources await there related to LTSP) esp to Ken Yap who personally took the effort
to look into my problem
(great thanks to Jim McQuillan of LTSP for suggesting
Hi all
What benefits can I get setting up a Mosix cluster with my ltsp network?.
Is the server work shared with the thin clients? (load balanced or shared
between the server and the clients).
Best regards

Hi everyone, well a few of us have patched together a sparc thin client
port for ltsp. This will enable you to use diskless sparcs ala LTSP
style.
Everythings at http://ltsparc.geeksinthehood.net
Sofar its working to some degree. My 12 year old SPARCstation IPC is
running X nicely.

Upgrading my LTSP 2 system to 3 (RedHat 7.1). The client loads the 3C509
driver successfully - on-board ISA, so required a manual entry in dhcpd
:-(, and then:
Mounting root filesystem: /tftpboot/lts/ltsroot from: 192.168.0.254
Doing the pivot root
pivot_root: pivot_root: No such file or director
DK,
We are going to need more information to help you with your install.
I'll elaborate-

Ken, Thanks for pointing that article out.
I actually had missed that article. pretty cool, eh?
Really, Paul Nelson and Eric Harrison deserve alot of the credit for
that. They are both working very hard to make it easier to setup
servers for schools, complete with LTSP and tons of application
Philip,
Glad to hear it is working.
How about a quick writeup or summary of how you did it?
That would make a great addition to the LTSP website.
Thanks,

John,
I think the problem is you are still trying to mount the old
/tftpboot/lts/ltsroot directory as your root filesystem.
That won't work.
As of LTSP 2.09, the root filesystem that should be mounted
is /opt/ltsp/i386
You'll need to fix the root-path in your dhcpd.conf file.

Thank you for your reply,
If the kernel works with the Telnet session then the Kernel building is
proper.
It build the Xf86config file also . but enable to give me the Xlogin
screen.
It creates start_ws file also.
and passes init runlevel 5
The terminal doesn't hang but doesn't go ahead .
