Hello List,
After reading the posts on CAD by a handful of people, I start to
think of what best solutions can LTSP and Linux come to.
I have tried QCad which reads only DXF file type. Someone also posted
about a cad which runs on windoze only at this moment.
For 2D, the workstations will be us

Michel,
Redhat 7.3 uses xinetd, not inetd. But, 7.2 used xinetd
also. What that means is that you should be looking
for /etc/xinetd.d/tftp, not /etc/inetd.conf.
So, see if you have /etc/xenetd.d/tftp, and inside that
file, make sure it says 'disable = no'.
Then, to test it, do this:

LTSP 3.0.4
Moving from RedHat 7.2 to 7.3 with I think identical configuration.
Running services are the same on both systems.
In 7.2 everything is working well but not in 7.3.
Ltsp stations are unable to boot

Case Outlet has fanless barebones (no cdrom, hard drive or memory) VIA itx
system for $189 or $195 U.S. depending on cpu.

Would be a winner if the price were lower. ThinkNics have more hardware for
barely more money.

Very fine; see instructions in that file:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ltsp/pxestuff.tgz
You may also need DHCP 3.0 available at:

5_lts.i386.rpm

Programs that use GDK (such as Mozilla) don't work on 8bit displays.

This case have been made for the C3 and the power supply is enough

This case get it's 12v from a power adaptor and divert it to ATX power

there are no (interesting) files on a Thin Terminal.
All programms and user's files are on the server.
