or conversly you can create a set of somewhat intelligent scrips called by
a fancy name, like "MyPrinter" that would select / allow selection of a

I had removed the /tmp dir and then recreated it without the necessary chmod
777.
Consequently cannaserver(don't know what that is) failed to start
because it could not write to /tmp Then xfs failed because canna failed.

i have just not run into this situation yet - the stations are
powered at fairly random time around the beginning of work day, but i can
see that happening after a power failure. i better raise the limit on

Create a shortcut in Programs -> Startup that contains a command like:
e:\cygwin\usr\X11R6\bin\XWin.exe -query -nodecoration
The -nodecoration option will open a full-size window without Window's
border or title bar. If you want a full-screen window, use -fullscreen.

If you are referring to having the terminal server at one office, and the
diskless machine in another building (across town or the world, doesn't
matter) then yes it 'can' be done. But one thing that you need to remember
is that the amount of data being transferred via the network is tremendous.
