what about using decent video card? would this eliminate the problem? I
know that this is not exactly what the LTSP was designed for, but being

I have found that the Linux terminals can log into non-LTSP servers
directly (that is, if I set the server I want them to log into as the XDMCP
server in the lts.conf), but when any system but the one they boot from is
selected via the chooser, I get the grey screen with the large X cursor.

Greetings List,
I am booting a number of installations with etherboot 'boot'-images from
floopy.
Do any of you know of a methode to correctly place the image on an Windows
NT system and use the windows NT-Boot loader to launch the etherboot-image?

Hi all, Ltsp works great!
I tried the other day to install the latest mozilla on the local app but it
failed because of libc version. It wants this version GLIB_2.2.3 ...
I wondering if anyone out there has done this and could help me.

Dear all,
I know it defeats the purpose somewhat - but I'm having some trouble
getting a local window manager.
I wish to test up the terminal server running both local apps and local
window managers.
I've set up all the nis stuff, and that appears to work fine.

Hi, I'm having trouble connecting to an LTSP server (latest stable version
3.0.x) running on Red Hat 8.0. I'm booting a terminal PC from the
Etherboot floppy created from the specified site -- terminal PC has a
Trident video chip and RTL8139 NIC. This combination worked fine with LTSP
on Red Hat 7.

I'm looking for some help from people responsible for live LTSP systems.
What hardware are you using and what number and type of users have you
got? By compiling examples of real live systems, I'm hoping to give
potential new users some gu
