I found the solution some time ago...
Some key names where just, well, wrong, in the brazilian keyboard layout. I
got the names from german keyboard and now it's working very well.

I've put up a repository for LTSP rpms, perhaps this is just one of
many, but I couldn't find any and Jim didn't know of any.
It works for me, but as always, YMMV.
