Hi Dima
Thanks for the suggestion, but those commands do absolutely nothing -
there is no response and killing the terminal window is the only option.

Richard,
Sounds like an old version of LBE.

Are you sure you really have both installed?

LTSP is _very_ stable.
I'm running RH9, you don't need the latest and greatest.
If you are only running dosemu at a terminal and everything is on the
same LAN, you can use the built-in telnet as I do on a few terminals.

We have an Epson C86 and an HP LJ 3330 connected to terminal and accessible
to the other terminals. Printing works. With OpenOffice.org we have been
able to set the default printer to either the Epson or the HP depending on
the users preferences. But in Mozilla and Evolutions we have not yet
I am currently using LTSP to boot. I am using the rdesktop screen script
on screen_01. I want to be able to run x11vnc on the client and view
this client from another station. Is this possible? I have attached my
lts.conf and my rdesktop sceen script.

Exactly what i wanted. I'm trying to migrate a couple of supermarket's to

Joao,
I am using dosemu with LTSP and it works great. To specify a printer
for a particular user, I setup a ~/.dosemurc file for the user, in
which I include the printer. I use samba sometimes as well.

Hi there,
I'm new to ltsp.
I'm seeking a nice solution to provide an easy way to deploy and mantain
about 8 linux workstations/thin clients.
I need dosemu, samba and some kind of printing facility so that each
client can print on it's own printer through dosemu.
Is it possible with ltsp?
I would
Elton,
Are you using Etherboot or PXE ?
If PXE, option-128/129 don't work. there's a different method of setting
up kernel cmdline options. Look here:

Elton,
Known issue with the 2.6 client kernel.
The fix, for now, is to use the 2.4 kernel.

Hmm. I am new to debian, and am learning as I go along :
Ina,
It sounds like ltspcfg is dying and returning to the ltspadmin main
menu.
Try running just this command:
ltspcfg
Then, try to configure xdmcp. If it dies, it should leave the error
messages on the screen. Once that happens, let us know the errors that
appear, and also what version of
Rolf,
Yes, you just need to add the following line to lts.conf:
X4_MODULE_01 = glx
This will only work for the Xservers that actually support GL.
