hi,
I'm trying to get LDA working on Dapper, but run up against some
problems while following the instructions here:
( http://wiki.ltsp.org/twiki/bin/view/Ltsp/LtspFS )
I install cvs, build-essential, gawk and the do the following:
---
cd /usr/local/src
sudo cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL
ltspfsd_functions.c:13:22: error: X11/Xlib.h: No such file or directory
ltspfsd_functions.c:14:23: error: X11/Xauth.h: No such file or directory
Probably you don't have the X development libraries installed. I don't
know what the package is called, but during the install for your Linux

But I now get another error. This doesn't seam to be a result of a
missing dependency.

Hi,
And looking inside lbe/crosscomp-src/glibc/Status/errors:

Thanks Gadi,
I wasn't aware of that.
http://wiki.ltsp.org/twiki/bin/view/Ltsp/LtsConf ;)
although that hasn't fixed it my black square issue.
I'm wondering if the syntax is ok.
X_DEVICE_OPTION_01= SWCursor true
creates an entry like this
Option SWCursor true
but on the web the examples
Chris-
Yes, this issue with the device option is fixed in soon-to-be-released
LTSP 4.2. If you would like to make a manual change for now, all you
need to do is edit /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/build_x4_cfg and...
change:
X_DEV_VAR=X_DEVICE_OPTION_${i}
X_DEVICE_OPTION=${!X_DEV_VAR}
After all this work... how are you getting along with LTSPFS, LDA, etc?
After installed and tuned, is it ready for simple everyday use, with floppy
disks, by mere mortals, ie, users?

Hi
it has been done! Jim's benchmarks list a time for a quad opteron.
I have also built lbe lots of times on 32 arch, so no obvious gotchas.
Building lbe on AMD64 runs fine until gcc, then stuff goes wrong.
Anybody know, or guess ...
