Hello,
I was wondering if it's possible to make terminals autologin into
KDM/KDE according to their mac address.
I'm using LTSP 4.2 on Debian Etch.
Thanks,
Fernando.

I have an odd experience where I can wake up a client (HP t5125) via
ether-wake at the initial power connection or after pulling the power
and reconnecting, however if I shut it down from the server via
ltspinfo -h workstation -s it does not respond to ether-wake.
I'm running ltsp-4.2.

With the NX client setup as described on the wiki and a user logged
in an Nmap scan on the clients show port 6000 and 6001 open. 6001
requires authorized access but 6000 does not. I'm not sure if it's
exploitable like this but it shows up on our vulnerability scans.

Has anybody tried running LTS as a client on a Microsoft Virtual PC? It
seems that would be a very lite weight way to easily run Linux on a Windows
box.
Thanks,

If I am reading this right, you want to create a diskless terminal (virtual

I know that you can use VMWare (server and desktop) to create a diskless
virtual machine as a terminal, with both local devices and network sound.

You can configure the dhcpd.conf to assign IP addresses based on the MAC

You don't need a script because you can put entries into kdmrc for
specific IP addresses. The kdm
