pretty sure jim kronebush has run a ppc as a server...nut why not just run ppc clients from an intel box if that is what you are after..i run ltsp4.1 for ibooks from an intel server if that is what you are after..pretty sure if i had a non-ducttape ibook i couls build an ltsp5 ubuntu chroot and run

Is there a good ltsp distribution for ppc macs as a server? I can install linux as a standalone without a hitch. I have tried edubuntu, skole, and etc none of them seem to install correctly. Fiesty would not even load. even if I try to install the ltsp separately the dhcpd.conf is not correct.

I was about to buy a thin client and a few network cards from http://www.disklessworkstations.com I ran into a problem. Some thin clients use PXE and some use Etherboot. The Ethernet cards have options as well. The AOpen card uses Etherboot. The Linksys card uses bootp. I'm not sure if bootp is

I have just recently started experimenting with LTSP. I have installed the server on Ubuntu 6.10 then i got a client with "boot from network" options in the BIOS. some of the older hardware i have doesn't have PXE support in the BIOS, but i was able to get them to etherboot using a floppy. Now i a
