Hello, I am trying to setup dual monitors on a LTSP client, and it was
suggested I login to the shell and using X -configure to generate my
configuration file. When I try to login I get login incorrect. This same
username and password works on the client when booting into x, and it
also works via s
Some added information that may help with troubleshooting. I can do a direct
login on the server itself, and I can use the same account remotely through a
terminal using ssh on the default port (22) from a machine running DSL
installed on the HD(only permitting commandline access to the server.

Thanks for the quick responses.
After the suggestion, I've done the ltsp-update-sshkeys. This has not helped
as the system is still refusing remote logins on the user account. I should
have mentioned that I can use this account to log in directly on the server
with no issues. In looking

as far as i can tell, it's related to some kdm bugs or even something deeper
in fedora.

Hi,
please check the system itself having the network boot rom facility in the
NIC. If it have the boot rom ut will definitly supports PXE booting which
required for LTSP.
Try with VXL TC3831..low cost and you will get better perfomance..
cheers

I run a 7 box ltsp-network environment at a company. Since more recent
hardware like the Intel Pro Gigabit nics and some newer Ati Radeon cards
don't run out of the box without tweaking I got the impression that 4.2 is a
little dated and wanted to try Ltsp 5. The problem is that our Ltsp server

Hello *,
I have a problem with accessing USB drives through an un-powered USB hub.
The problem is a well known issue due to changes in the 2.6 kernel so
that USB works "right." The "fix" is simply to echo a value to the
proper place under /sys/bus/usb/devices when the USB drive is plugged
in.
I was having intermittent freezing problems with my clients, so I
enabled NDB-Swap. Ltspswapd is running, and is creating swap files for
all but one of my clients. My sole NeoWare client (an e140) never gets
a swap file built for it, and it consequently is still having the
intermittent freezi

I've used Cygwin/X and also tested Xming. I found Xming slightly more
straightforward to use, but it didn't work well on one of my servers
(K12LTSP 5.0EL which is based on CentOS 5). It would take 2 minutes to
launch an application! On the other server (CentOS 4) it seemed to work
perfectly.
