Tom:
It looks like you only set some of the touchscreen variables.
Try setting:
X_TOUCH_MINX
X_TOUCH_MAXX
X_TOUCH_MINY
X_TOUCH_MAXY

Hi,
Launching ltspinfo -h my_host gives me no result,
wheras nmap -p 9200 my_host says the port is open.
Is there any option for launching ltspinfod on the clients, or for
telling them to answer the server?
I'm using LTSP 4.2 under Debian Etch, server installed by ltspadmin command.

The values for MINX, MAXX etc have, in the past, always had 'reasonable'

Our Ubuntu-fi forum pointed me to the this bug:
This fix should be backported to the 1.6.0 releases. It's a rather
crippling bug with Java audio on Linux.
Tom-
It appears you found a typo bug!
Please edit line 236 (or so)
of /opt/ltsp/i386/usr/lib/ltsp/configure-x.sh
to read:
Identifier Touchscreen
(currently the S is capitalized)
I believe that is where the bug lies.
Don't forget to: sudo ltsp-update-image
after making the change,
