I mistakenly thought that the nVidia proprietary drivers would offer better
performance in 2D and video (VDPAU), and prevent the random hangs that one
user had been experiencing (the nouveau driver is marked as experimental in
Ubuntu 10.04). I've found that as fat clients these aren't quite as
