instead of the usual ttyS0.
I've never figured out why.

We boot a Pentrium 75 MHz, 66 Megs RAM, Intel Ether Pro 100 in 45 seconds. The network
is 100BaseT and the machine is *not* in
our /etc/hosts file since another machine on another subnet does all of our name
serving.
