Dear Ltsp Community
Does anyone know if ltsp might work on alpha.
We have this compaq alphaserver ds10 with debian
installed on it. Would be nice if I could install
ltsp also.

When you don't want to vi the registry this is the gui-way:
My Computer -> Properties -> Remote -> Remote Desktop
It's available in XP Professional, and only 1 user can be
connected (or is it loggen in) at the same time.

try $HOSTNAME, or get it yourself using `hostname`?

Is tftp installed? Is the ltsp-kernel-image in /tftpboot/something?

The content of such a tempfile is at the end of this message included.
How to calculate the values for "auth" and "creds" can probably be
found in the (open) source of gaim.

Pedro,
Using vmware and a floppy bootable image for a pcnetfastiii nic.
- file->wizard create a new config for a new vm.
- setting->configuration-editor set floppy to the (file)
eb-5.0.x-pcnetfastpciii.lzdsk
- start vmware with this config
- you may need to tell dhcpd about new mac-addres
That's weird,
I've run RH8 + ltsp + gdm, kind of out-of-the-box.
Manually installed tftp and configured dhcp and nfs (ltsp config was
copied from another machine).

and finally fails with the
nfs-mount and such. Communication between 2 servers is also very slow.
I've tried all kinds of settings with rset8139: full/half duplex,
10/100MB autonegotiation, NWAY/TX/RX, and such.
What's wrong, what can I test or is the switch broke?

Carrie,
Experienced same problems, found some remark that suggested to get a
newer xclass library. Installed it and now it works.
