I found the following instructions to set up LTSP to authenticate to a
2k DOMAIN using winbind and Samba.
I was wondering if there was a way to use the security = ads instead of
security = domain

Following up on my experiment with XD2 and LTSP I have found that when
you login using KDE and try to use Mozilla - you will then be unable to
type into Mozilla AND the LTSP server will slow to a crawl.

Here is an interesting problem.
I have a RedHat 8.0 K12LTSP machine and I decided to install the XD2
desktop to see how it might work.
Some interesting things occurred:
When trying to log into terminals that have sound enabled kde, icewm,
and gnome would come to a blue screen and just sit there.
I was wondering if anybody has had success getting the Jammin 125's to
go into power save mode or some sort of screen blank mode. I was shown a
script awhile back in this news group that caused it to work with
regular computers but the Jammins refuse to cooperate.

Does anybody have any idea how to make the monitor go into sleep mode.
Right now of course my monitors stay on all of the time and I would like
to be able to have them shut down after a few hoursand of course
come back on when they need to be used.
