Then I'll have to conclude that I'm doing somethng
wrong.
Could it be that because the server & client's network
are in Half Duplex so it's so slow? Is there anyway to
debug the network performance in the LTSP environment?

I think the problem here is with the CPU speed. 133
Mhz. takes a long time just to "create" the NFS_SWAP
file.
Unless I'm doing something very wrong... I find that
P133 Mhz. with only 16 megs doesn't run very
smoothly...

ncies. Copy all binaries and libraries to your
LTSP tree (/opt/ltsp/i386/). Then, you have the
binaries accessible for your client :)
Hope that helps,

Hope that helps,

tftp, rom-o-matic floopy" ? I don't even understand
your question, so I can't "clarify you immediately."

Then, from the server side, you have to find ESD aware
applications, such as Realplayer and mpg123, kxicq,
etc etc... Or, even easier, you can use esdplay to
send wav files to your terminal. Basically, esd
applications will use the ESPEAKER environment

Hi Beginner,
Thanks for your hint. I tried it out and it worked
okay for DOS disks. Now... is there any solution for
ext2 disks? Unfortunately, nbd doesn't seem to work
and it's really easy to hung the server... :(
Thanks,
