Hello,
After I set up my server with LTSP, I downloaded and wrote a boot image from
rom-o-matic to a floppy disk. Then I tried to boot one of my workstations. It
had a 3Com 3c509 card in it. When I hit "n" to start booting from the
network, it kept repeating: "eeprom busy" over and over. I changed the BIOS
so it didn't try using the network as a boot device and it still did it. I
opened the case and the card doesn't have a boot ROM on. What should I do to
get the card to work?
Once the 509 card didn't work I put in a very old 3c503 ISA card. It worked,
but when it get the kernel down, it complains about not be able to detect the
card. It said to put a line in my dhcpd.conf file under option-129, so I did
and it didn't work. I tried both: option option-129 "NIC=3c503" and option
option-129 "NIC=3c503 IO=0x300". Neither option worked, what did I do wrong?
Thanks for the help!!
