I want to build a LTSP cluster to support approx 800 thin clients but would like to know the answers to a few main questions.
1) I want to use 2 load balancers and wondered approx what hardware specification I should use for these? 2) Using load balancers do all of the application servers need to be the same specification or if the application servers are different will the balancers just load the least busy ones with the next client request ? 3) Are there any issues with using our existing DHCP server? 4) I have seen advice saying I should allow 64mb of ram on the application server per client, these are generally low power users (mainly remoting onto offsite terminal servers or web browsing) but do not know how many clients the 2 x cpu dual core zeon servers (4 cores per server) 4gb ram I have will support any ideas ? (2 x 35gb 10k rpm scsi disks per server) Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Android is increasing in popularity, but the open development platform that developers love is also attractive to malware creators.
