I'm using gnome. Did you download the ltsp-4.iso from the web site? The iso has a ltspcfg utility that is very handy. I did have to modify it to deal with xorg (as opposed to XFree86), but otherwise it was effective at creating all of the configuration files, hosts files, exports and starting th
