I have what may look like a timeout problem as I just put in a new
switch to serve my LTSP client segment:
Old: CNET 100 Mbit switch
New: D-Link Gigabit switch.
Result: The client stopped booting when trying to set up the NFS share.
On the server system daemon log, I can see that the connection was
granted, but after that, empty.
After looking around, this seems very similar too Bug #19196 on
Launcpad.

One explanation I saw is that the speed negotiation can take some time,
and the client "looses his patience" and aborts. This makes sense, as it
is only the server side that is connected by 1Gb. (The clients runs on
100 Mb.)

Congestion is not an issue, as there is just 3 terminals at the present.
The system is Edubuntu 6.10 (LTSP 5). I swapped back to the old switch,
which is up to the task anyway. (Why change, you may ask...)
