Hi all, I have managed to setup a basic LTSP system at home using floppies to boot and am looking at some alternative boot methods.
The clients I am using are old-ish IBM 340 desktop pc's P100 16mb Ram etc. I am thinking of moving to either PXE enabled NIC or Bootromed NICs. If I go for bootroms, how will the BIOS need to change if at all. Or if I go for PXE NICS will the BIOS cope with it or does the NIC do all the work. I have a PXE enabled newer system as well which lists the LAN card as a boot device in the BIOS, and I am concerned that I would need something similar on the older kit. Could anyone recommend a boot-rom/burner supplier in the UK? TIA, Simon __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
