Brent; You can arrive at this solution several ways:
1. Buy a motherboard like you want. Via makes several models, and the models with the CF slot are pricey: http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/store/motherboards/EPIA_MII_10000 2. Buy a "regular" motherboard for around $100 and an IDE -> CF adapter for $20. Many of the motherboard vendors also sell the adapter, and here is one by itself: http://www.acscontrol.com/Index_ACS.asp?Page=/Pages/Products/CompactFlash/IDE_To_CF_Adapter.htm 3. Buy a pre-built system with a CF slot. I've found that the pre-built systems can cost less than buying the parts separately. Some even come in rack-mount cases with two motherboards: http://www.caseoutlet.com A couple of years ago, I bought some "Lex System" thin clients from this outfit that already had CF slots. (Their web server seems to be down now.) http://www.synertrontech.com Hope this helps.
