I've worked with WPO2K and WP8 for Unix. Both work on Linux, but WPO2K
is a very pretty and in some ways surprisingly useful *piece of
garbage*. Sorry I can't answer your friends' wishes, but my
recommendation is actually to go back to WP8 for Unix. It also had
stability problems,

I'm working on a new(er) LTSP project for some friends and they seem
to insist on Wordperfect. I have zero experience with Wordperfect,
and I'm trying to get the workstations to be able to run it. It looks
as if I have some sort of font serving problem in that WPO2K wants
the fonttastic font
