I am have the same problem,i corrected by
the following ways.
1.include the following in /etc/x11/fs/config,
daemon xfs -droppriv -daemon -port 7100
2. /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf
[xdmcp]
change Enable=0 to Enable=1
3. /etc/inittab
I've downloaded the latest stable lts (lts_core-2.08-0)
I've got redhat 7.1 on the server
I have kde/kdm running on the server
I loaded the rpms according to the instructions and configured the
workstation
Server boots OK, X starts as does KDE
workstation boots ok
X starts OK.
No login screen
