I have a problem trying to configure a brazilian keyboard (abnt2).
Normally, just the two following lines in XF86Config-4 is enough:
Option "XkbModel" "abnt2"
Option "XkbLayout" "br"
Unfortunately this works but for a single key...
It happens that the key AC12, which in the abnt2-br configuration
is supposed to be a bracketleft/braceleft does not echo anything.
Note that that key does not exists in the US keyboard.
But in the ltsp server, all works fine.

BTW, your script rc.setupx needs the following line:
Option "XkbModel" "${XkbModel:-"pc101"}"
otherwise I can configure the XkbLayout but not the XkbModel.
