I'm getting ready to replace our ltsp machine at work here.

The setup is rather like this:

user (luser) ---> ltsp machine (graphical user) ---> server (collection floor)

The idea is that users who use a graphical interface will be using hte ltsp machine and the users who are grunt collectors will use the ltsp machine as a router that ssh's them into our server directly (they will have zero access to the ltsp machine).

That being the case, what is my best linux distro for ltsp? ie: the easiest to set up, configure, maintain and otherwise run that will still provide my workers with a nice interface. I'm mostly a redhat/fedora guy but I've recently become very fond of Ubuntu (I use it at home).

Thoughts?

Also, I'm planning on using an mATX motherboard and a mini-tower and basically having a really small machine. Any reason that this sort of setup (assuming a nice 2.somehting processor and about a gig of ram) that this will be a problem? Maybe people who are most good at hardware?
