This almost sounds like another device on your network has the same IP as
your server.
Is it possible that your DHCP is assigning the Workstation the same IP as
you server?

the client and the server ?
Please do this, and send us the output:
ifconfig -a
Also, send us a copy of your dhcpd.conf file.
