Mixed results with googlegear.com. They were the guys I bought a Xeon
processor from a while back, only to find out that it would only work in
dual cpu systems, and only with other cpu's designed for dual cpu systems,
which is not what they advertised it as. And then they charged me a 15%

I am using rh7.3 with an HP Pavilion zt1135 laptop. I use the setup
program to try and setup my soundcard(AC97). It detects it and then
tries to play a sound bite to insure that it is working properly. When
the sound bite starts all it says is "Hello, hello, hello."

This seems like a reasonable idea. The vendor can submit the info,
and notify the list, and after a certain number of people rate it, it
gets the yeah or nay.
