1. The nv driver that ships with the OS does the same software rendering other open source drivers do. 2. The ati open source driver is not made by ati, and has very little hardware rendering functionality. 3. The only thing on the nforce boards that require drivers is the network card, and

I installed the mainline 2.6.5 kernel over the weekend on both FC1 and FC2T1/2. Have not seem to have any problem (except the following caveat). The biggest "annoyance" (to put it politely) is that, for systems which have either the nForce chipset or the GeForce video cards, the drivers must
