Over at Enchanted Lake Elementary, we have a 28 thin client lab.
The lab is completely run by the teachers.
They're getting better by the day.
But:
So are the kids.
They've learned that they can customize their profile.

Can't you just make the reset-desktop script run when users log off

Great idea.
How would you do that?

Thanks Michael,
I think we'll be okay on OS X.
OS X automatically puts a link to the server in its Favorites
after you access it the first time. This makes it easy enough
to get to it after that.
Also, I think we are close to an OS 9 solution. I just need to
figure out how to create a shortcut
Thanks for the suggestion Dave,
However, with close to 400 individual users, I'm not sure
aliases are the solution. I am now trying to create something

Hey Warren,
After the reboot, are you now able to access the server?
Thanks Scott,
I don't mind entering the IP address once.
This is what our students will do on our OS X machines:
1. Click Go
2. Click Connect to Server
3. Choose liholiho.mplug.org
4. A dialog box pops up and asks for username and password
just like the login screen of our LTSP clients.
