This makes me utterly sick that the suits can come in and shut something

I don't see MS making a Linux distro, but they could very well come out
with a BSD based OS. That way they can have as much proprietary stuff as
they want.

initiative. This would allow developers to look into the Windows source code
and possibly tweak the code to their liking. Of course, Microsoft will still
regulate the process.
I don't think Microsoft will ever make a Linux distros.
