Anyone know of an easy way to set monitor refresh rates? I just
installed mandrake, told it I can use up to 76Hz, and it set my monitor
to 60 Hz. It flashes and hurts my eyes. Anyone know how to change this
without knowing how to change clock lines of an XF86config file or
whatever?

Try add "VirtRefresh 76" or something similar to the Monitor section of
your
XF86Config file.
(in other words don't give it a range. just give it one value to use)
--Ray
cool, thanks. I'll try that. I'm also using the framebuffer, which
doesn't like to change modes. So I'll try the real nvidia driver too.
xvidtune doesn't work because of the fb.
