gstreamer-ffmpeg. As SMPlayer might be using w32codecs which aren't packaged in
ubuntu right now (only medibuntu as far as I know) we could create a shell

I have a 10 year old Dell Latitude CPt (celeron 333, 512MB RAM). It's been
sitting in the closet for the past 4-5 years. Couldn't install Lubuntu on
it, neither could I run it from CD. Not sure what is the problem. During
install I saw several messages like:

For the alternate, yes but it's something we plan for futur ISO. Once
the standard ISO is well tested, an alternate will be generated too :)
this iso size is less than 400mb so why not add the alternate install
feature to the normal live cd?

I begin this new thread to discuss the video player choice on Lubuntu.
For now, we have smplayer, which have the problem to depends on QT libs.
It takes more space on the CD (QT libs only used by smplayer), and may
take more memory (because of this QT libs).
