I added to the end of an existing bug report the inability in Lubuntu to
specify a network proxy during install, after install for updates using update
manager, and when browsing, which adds up to just about total Internet lockout

this is a ubuntu bug not specific to lubuntu
: chromium doesn't start, gksudo
doesn't work (.xauthority lacks) etc. etc.
I experienced this twice, but i don't know if it depends by the usb key
or this also happens installing on a hard disk.

used space is ~ 2.2GB
i also noted an increment of memory usage.
after the boot on my netbook lubuntu lucid uses 80MB of memory.
on the vm maverik is using 135MB
