Pressing the Super key should show the start menu in 11.10 normally. I'm
not getting this behaviour on my lubuntu laptop :(
Is this a bug or i'm the only one with this issue?

I'm having this issue too, but I prefer that, when I press the Super
key, the menu does not appear. Is this customizable?

Open your Home Folder and Press Ctrl+H
Find this: */.config/openboxlubuntu-rc.xml*
All Key bindings are all there :)
I'm on Lubuntu 12.04 and the Menu shows up if I press the Super Key.

And pcmanfm bugs in Lubuntu can be reported on launchpad.
