I cannot imagine MAC OS X 10.3 install which looks like terminal you had
mentioned. When I had last installed that OS from Apple, there was no terminal.
As I can remember your werbs from past months, you have also Ubuntu 12.04 and
Lubuntu 14.04 installation CDs from early era

did you had try to go into Open Firmware and check NVRAM settings? There must
be enabled boot from CD. I believe, you had not just try to use x86/64
installation CD which won't work on Power architecture.

PS: Lubuntu PPC 16.04 is now more stable with testing repositories.
