Yeah... do-release-upgrade is the one I usually use... I just forgot, as
I have been reinstalling from CD usually, to test how everything goes
with the installer. I may use that next time...

do-release-upgrade' can't. This is useful for those like me who forget
(or would rather not) abruptly upgrade to the next release.

Almost assuredly. You can do it through the software-properties-gtk,
and you can do it through the terminal
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
