I vaguely someone here (Nio Wiklund???) described 2 years ago or so, how to make and how to boot a PB from a usb stick into live-lubuntu. Or is my memory failing? If i remember right, please could you point me to a link where i can learn your solution? I'd like to install lubuntu 14.04 on a PB G4

AFAIK, OpenFirmware on the Powerbook G4 will not boot from USB devices, except if its a CDROM. Or at least that was what I found when trying to install Ubuntu/Gentoo/Lubuntu on my PBG4. Unless the drive isn't stock, I believe all Powerbook G4's should be able to read from and boot from DVDs, so
