Dear Andreas,
Thank you so much for your help.
I changed the version and I only have now one last error to correct :
[r...@lustre tests]# NAME=local sh llmount.sh
Loading modules from /opt/lustre-1.8/optional/lustre-1.8.0/lustre/tests/..

I'm not clear on which kernel package you tried to install. There is pretty
much a set order to install the packages from my understanding of the wording
in the manual. From experience:
rpm -ivh kernel-lustre-smp-2.6.18-92.1.17.el5_lustre.1.8.0.x86_64.rpm
rpm -ivh lustre-1.8.0-2.6.18
I am having trouble building the Lustre client from source--
lustre-1.8.0.tar.gz under the latest Redhat Kernel. Could someone let me
know if there is patch available to fix this problem.
[r...@cc2 lustre-1.8.0]# ./configure
--with-linux=/usr/src/kernels/2.6.18-128.1.10.el5-x86_64 --disable-snm
Hello list,
I am struggling to install Lustre 1.8 on a CentOS 5.2 box. I am referring to

We have been running the Lustre servers on a machine with Nvidia
chipset(nVidia Corporation MCP55 Ethernet (rev a3)) for well over a year
now, the following two options seems to work the best on these servers:
options forcedeth max_interrupt_work=50 optimization_mode=1

I am a newbie to the lustre world. I have a very basic and probably stupid
question here. When we install a Lustre FS, i.e., install RPM packages for
the server side then what happens to the operating system's file system?
When and how does lustre come into the picture? Comments appreciated.

Dear all,
Sorry for the disturb, I hope it's the right mailing list.
I set up lustre and here are the 3 error messages I'm getting. I tried to
solve it myself but I failed :
[r...@lustre tests]# NAME=local sh llmount.sh
Loading modules from /opt/lustre-1.7.90/lustre/tests/..
