Watch for swapping now. Turning zone reclaim on can cause the machine to swap
if the memory use goes outside of the NUMA node.
Although you don't have much memory(which IMHO is the real issue)
so this may not effect you.

Unless something has changed in the new versions of lustre, I don't think
lustre can do failover between nids on the same machine.
It can choose the available nid at mount time, but if an active nid goes away
after you are mounted then the client chooses the failover nid, and this must
be on a

there some thing else screwed.

Anybody had any experience using an IB based storage
target as an OST?
Apart from the obvious issue of separating the IB SAN(SRP/SER)
storage traffic from the Lustre traffic are there any issues?
What about failover?

ize a cluster and clients to get ~10GBytes/Sec on *one*
client node.
If I can aggregate IB linearly the next step will be to try and figure
out
How to get 10Gigabytes/s to local storage :-(
Some times customers are crazy...

two Lustre clusters with separate
MGS/MDS/OSS. One lustre is Lincoln and the other is Washington
>list_nids
192.168.1.10@o2ib
>mount -t lustre lincoln:/lustre /lincoln
>mount -t lustre washington:/lustre /washinton
Is this doable or should they be on separate IB fabrics

Two quick Questions.
Does lustre work in a VM?
what about in a VM over Infiniband?

to sync a production and remote DR lustre
cluster?
I seem to remember that even if this works I'll only be able to mount
the lustre volumes on the remote site if I use the same IP numbers in
everything. Are there any other hardware dependancies that would
stop an active block level lustre
