Question: are you using the quotas feature and could it be at or approaching a
limit? There has been some evidence that the quotas feature could be
introducing the offset to bulk transfers.

The clients and servers are on the same OPA network, no routing. Once a client
gets in this state, the filesystem performance drops to a faction of what it is
capable of.
The client must be rebooted to clear the issue.

How about the interoperability of a 1.6 server with 1.4 routers? I knew
clients were possible but I haven't seen any
info on routers.
Id like to get the servers up to a somewhat new distro but with our XT3 still
on 2.6.9 the routers on ithave to stay at 1.4.
