an ARMv8 (64bits) simulator is available from ARM, Linaro was ported
over it recently
It runs a 3.6.0 linux, i did not try to use a Lustre supported kernel on
it (this will simplify the port)
If it does not work, first you will have to port Lustre client on a 3.6
kernel

many vendors are going to put in the market ARM+GPU based cluster. Yes,
ARM is a 32bit system, with now a 1 Gbit connection normally, but in few
watt could have a performance of 300 GFlops... so I think in the near
future could be a player in the HPC market.
