My apologies to the list, but Steve did respond to my e-mail, but when I
returned his note, it bounced once again.
Steve, do you have a spam filter on, blocking my e-mails? Please e-mail me
your phone number privately, and I will call you tomorrow night.
Sorry once again to the list.

Now the only way I see any of his postings is if someone else replies to

A question about Kabsberger:
Which would be the most apropriate instrument to play his lute works

Jim,
I can see that Igor's postings really bother you. Rather than leaving the
list, merely delete his messages, and then you will not be
bothered. Please do not leave the list because of his remarks. You can
simply delete his listings, and not be a part of it.

For me the "truth" is I don't go up to performers after the concert
and tell them where the mistakes were, or give an instant critique :)
Why should video be different? I rejoice in the fact that I learn
something everytime I see or hear another person perform.

I like the performance, but the fast notes are slower relative to the
tempo. Although I know that bringing up the prevailing beat, then
borrowing from the previous beat for the smallest notes will give
more energy to the piece, on some level I can't do it.
I think it is an interesting technique,

I think we should consider videos as being together talking in the same
room, and at a certain time someone takes the instrument and plays, an
enjoyable experience, it's a friend's playing gist, not a lecture. How many

Maybe Igor is Val's evil self? It is not unknown for critics to attack

No, I was being genuine. The same goes for Trond, Danny, Roman, Arto,
and all the others. They all have those magic moments where trying
stops and being takes over. It might be one moment in a whole video, or
it might indeed be the whole video. Same goes for my students, some of

It is acceptable to critique someone else's playing but when that critique
goes to a point where it is more a personal attack, mean and destructive, it
becomes incumbent upon the critic to display his/her own ability and show
all of us how he/she would play. In short Igor, put up or shut up.

I didn't adress nobody as a "moron" here , which is dirty and rude.
I only think that using frase " open sound " is a moronic . Is that
reason to be banned ?

The revelation for me is how different the different keys sound, going
just from D major to C major. Major character shift, yet still very
consonant.
